Pooja Wadekar

I paint what remains unspoken.

Pooja Wadekar is a Mumbai-based contemporary artist whose work moves between tenderness, silence, and emotional complexity.

Working primarily through large figurative paintings, she explores the fragile relationship between humans, memory, and instinct. Animals often appear within her work not as symbols alone, but as emotional companions reflecting vulnerability, comfort, and inner states.

Her background in architecture influences the spatial quality of her compositions — where emptiness, texture, and stillness become equally important as the figures themselves.

Each painting exists as an emotional space rather than a fixed narrative.
